Ethiopia’s Ambassador to China Visited SOA
On the morning of June 15, delegation featuring H.E. Mr. Berhane Gebre-Christos, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia’s Ambassador to the PRC, and Mr. Teferi Melesse DESTA, Consul General of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia’s Consulate General in Guangzhou visited Shenzhen Outbound Alliance and had a meeting with Sun Tianlu, Executive Chairman of SOA, and her colleagues from relevant divisions, and such member units as BYD, Shenzhen Transsion Holdings, Hytera, Shenzhen Energy, Shenzhen Metro and the Textile Industry Association of Shenzhen, and representatives from famous Shenzhen enterprises.
First of all, Sun Tianlu, Executive Chairman of SOA, extended her warm welcome to the delegation led by Ethiopia’s Ambassador to China. Zhou Gang, Deputy Secretary General of SOA, elaborately informed the guests of SOA, the Statistical Society for Foreign Economic Relations and Trade of Shenzhen, SOA African Branch, and Roadlink GLB. The representative of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia’s Ambassador to the PRC spoke highly of SOA’s work and the contributions to promoting economic and cultural exchanges between Ethiopia and China made by SOA, the Society and the member units. Then, each firm-representing attendee briefed our honorable guests on the African business in general and issues encountered in investment in Ethiopia in particular. Finally, the Ambassador said that emphatic attention has been paid to the problems that SOA mentioned commonly met by Shenzhen firms in Africa. Corresponding measures would be put into place and implemented for those problems to be solved in one year. Ethiopia would facilitate Ethiopia-relevant economic, trading and cultural events and activities organized by SOA and the Society, and provide necessary support.
