In the afternoon on December 7, the 2017 Point-Line Space Professional Service Exchange Center Annual Celebration and One Belt One Road New Economic Development Forum was held at the roadshow hall of Point-Line Space Professional Service Exchange Center in Futian district, with Shenzhen Futian Business Development Service Center as the host, Statistical Society for Foreign Economic Relations and Trade of Shenzhen as the organizer and Point-Line Space Professional Service Exchange Center for venue support.    

The forum was attended by Deputy Secretary-General of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, Mr. Gao Yuyue, Deputy Director of Economic, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, Mr. Gao Lin, Director of Futian Business Development Service Center, Mr. Feng Xiangyang, Chairwoman of Statistical Society for Foreign Economic Relations and Trade of Shenzhen, Miss Sun Tianlu, Secretary-General of the Society, Mr. Liu Jin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Society, Mr. Zhai Haibin, as well as representatives from nearly 100 enterprises and professional institutions such as BGI, Shenzhen Zhongjin Lingnan Nonfemet Company Limited (Nonfemet), Grandland Group, KPMG, Ernst & Young, Tianhong Asset Management Co., Ltd., Yingke Law Firm and Dentons.

At the beginning of the forum, Mr. Gao Yuyue, Deputy Secretary-General of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, made a speech, suggesting that the proposal of “The Belt and Road” had brought immeasurable new opportunities for industrial, financial and regional innovation, together with uncertainties in political, economic, safety and cultural aspects, which posed great challenges and risks to enterprises in expanding the international market, and placed higher demands on the service type and quality of service organizations such as the government, professional institutions and business associations. In 2015, Futian District Government established the “Point-Line Space Profession Service Exchange”, which was the first comprehensive “one-stop” professional service platform in China, highly consistent with the “The Belt and Road”, with a view to provide professional, open and all-round services for enterprises and professional institutions in expanding the international market and participating in the construction of “The Belt and Road”; It was hopeful that with the assistance of Point-Line Space, more enterprises would “go out” to participate in the global competition and cooperation and play their role in the construction of “The Belt and Road”, for better building up the strength of Shenzhen.

Afterwards, Mr. Gao Lin, Deputy Director of Economic, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, made a speech, introducing that Shenzhen was in the lead of investment abroad and as of the third quarter of 2017, Shenzhen’s approved and filed enterprises had established 5,913 enterprises and institutions abroad and the total agreed investment from Chinese side was about USD 42 billion. Among others, there were 402 enterprises and institutions along the “The Belt and Road” region, with a total agreed investment from Chinese side of USD 4.5 billion. Futian District is one of the major part in Shenzhen’s investment abroad; representative enterprises such as Shenzhen Energy, Nonfemet, Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. have started their move to other regions all around the world and along the “The Belt and Road” region; it is hopeful that Futian District will keep contributing to the “go global” strategy of Shenzhen, Point-Line Space will base on its services to Shenzhen City and further participate into the “go global” strategy and promote the construction of “The Belt and Road”.

Mr. Feng Xiangyang, Director of Futian Business Development Service Center, made a speech, introducing that with a purpose of “full-line response to one-point demand”, the Point-Line Space was aimed to provide enterprises with more convenient, complete, specialized and favorable professional services and positioned as an all-round professional service platform for the construction of profession service exchange center, innovation and entrepreneurship exchange center, policy information examination center, innovative product exhibition center and high-and-new technology transfer center. He also spoke highly of the operation and management of Point-Line Space by Statistical Society for Foreign Economic Relations and Trade of Shenzhen, since a large number of professional institutions that introduced to Point-Line Space by the Society, such as KPMG (China), Ernst & Young (China) Advisory Limited, Deloitte Enterprise Consultants (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Beijing Yingke Law Firm Shenzhen Office, ALSTON & BIRD LLP and Tianhong Asset Management Co., Ltd., have provided enterprises with various high quality professional services involving finance and taxation, law, intellectual property right, investment and financing.

Miss Sun Tianlu, Chairwoman of Statistical Society for Foreign Economic Relations and Trade of Shenzhen, made a summary on the work in 2017 from the aspects of constructing perfect service system and pioneering and innovating service forms while expressing the 2018 vision of the Society to build a “think tank” social organization, insist on serving the “Outbound” strategy and promote the development of SMEs. Mr. Zhai Haibin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Society, made the 2017 annual operation report, detailing the progress of various tasks of Point-Line Space since 2017, events held in the year, various supportive finance and taxation, law, investment and financing services that institutions have provided for enterprises, and the work plan in near future.

At the forum, Futian District Enterprise Service Center issued medals for representatives of professional organizations that had contributed to the construction and operation of Point-Line Space in order to thank them for their powerful support to the operation and development of Point-Line Space. Wu Fang, General Manager of Shenzhen Wealth Center of Tianhong Asset Management Co., Ltd., Fan Jiaheng, Partner of KPMG Advisory (China) Limited, Yuan Tailiang, Director of Tax Administration in South China of Ernst & Young and so on won the Outstanding Contribution Award. Shenzhen Holpe Commercial Chain Co., Ltd., PKF Business Advisory (Shenzhen) Limited, Alston & Bird LLP and so on won the Outstanding Member Award. Deng Xuhua, Partner of Beijing Yingke Law Firm Shenzhen Office, Zhang Chenglin from Shenzhen Fashion Designer Association and so on won the Best Cooperation Award.

In the session of first panel discussion of “The Belt and Road” New Economic Development, Yuan Tailiang, Director of Tax Administration in South China of Ernst & Young, Liu Dafan, Partner of Shenzhen Jianyin Nanshan Capital, Yu Jieqi, Founder of Shouzheng Management Consulting Co., Ltd., and Sun Tianlu, Chairwoman of Statistical Society for Foreign Economic Relations and Trade of Shenzhen and Vice Chairwoman and Secretary General of the Alliance respectively made speeches for sharing and communication on such topics as tax planning, new investment trends, market development, marketing breakthroughs, and international talents under the Belt and Road new economic development.

In the session of second panel discussion: Opportunities and Challenges in “The Belt and Road” Economic and Trade Cooperation, Wu Fang, General Manager of Shenzhen Wealth Center of Tianhong Asset Management Co., Ltd., Fan Jiaheng, Partner of KPMG Advisory (China) Limited, Su Huilun, Partner of Alston & Bird LLP, and Huang Jing, Director of Strategic Investment Department of Shenzhen Zhenjing Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. respectively shares and discussed such topics as opportunities for financial investment, tax risk prevention, legal challenges, and opportunities for economic and trade cooperation in “The Belt and Road” Economic and Trade Cooperation.

To this end, 2017 Point-Line Space Annual Celebration and One Belt One Road New Economic Development Forum was completed. In the new year, the Society will continue to do a good job in the construction and operation of Point-Line Space under the support and guidance of Futian District Enterprise Service Center, make Point-Line Space more specialized and internationalized, and make new achievements in the new year.
