International Consumer Electronics Expo • Indonesia 2018 saw its grand opening in Jakarta Convention Center at 10 a.m. local time on 7 December. It was co-sponsored by Shenzhen Outbound Alliance (hereby short for SOA), PT. Surya Dirgantara Sukses, Orient International Exhibition Co., Ltd., and received strong support from Statistical Society for Foreign Economic Relations and Trade of Shenzhen (SSFET), Roadlink GLB and other institutions.

Ding Ning, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of SOA accompanied Setyo Wasisto, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry of Indonesia and other guests to visit enterprises, and exchanged ideas with many exhibitors from Shenzhen to understand their demands and problems during 'going global', helped deepen their comprehension in Indonesia market and connect with local resources.

The leaders present expressed their warm welcome to the Chinese enterprises to invest in the Indonesian market. They also conveyed great expectation for the ICEE to bring about greater development potential between China and Indonesia in the consumer electronics market.

This exhibition was a vital platform for China's high-tech and innovative companies to go out and expand into overseas markets. It provided a full range of services for exhibitors and guests, helped domestic companies connect with resources abroad. It was an extraordinary event which attracted over 200 enterprises.

China and Indonesia are both in a critical period of economic development. China has entered a crucial stage in securing a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects while Indonesia is working towards the National Medium Term Development Plan 2015-2019. The two countries can give further play to their respective advantages so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win cooperation as well as common economic development.

As a consumer electronics trading platform preferred by domestic companies, ICEE•Indonesia will generate considerable orders and business opportunities for the suppliers and buyers. The ICEE•Indonesia 2018 helped create an important opportunity for Chinese electronics companies, especially those based in Shenzhen, to enter the Indonesian market. Through this Exhibition, Shenzhen enterprises have made a great stride on the road of “going out” and achieved fruitful results.
