Recently, Shenzhen Outbound Alliance received a letter of appreciation sent by Rotterdam Partners. Wilbert Lek, the Managing Director of Rotterdam Partners expressed gratitude towards SOA for supporting the ‘Rotterdam, Netherlands-Portal to Europe, Chinese Enterprises Investing in Europe Forum’ held in October, 2019 in Shenzhen, besides, he welcomed SOA and all of its members to come to Rotterdam for a visit.

On Oct 10, 2019, the‘Rotterdam, Netherlands-Portal to Europe, Chinese Enterprises Investing in Europe Forum’ was successfully held in The Ritz-Carlton Shenzhen, Futian District. The forum was hosted by the Rotterdam Government, Rotterdam Partners and Shenzhen Branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, supported by Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Guangzhou, Invest in Holland, China office of Dutchese Group and the SOA. Lucy Sun, the Executive Chairman of Shenzhen Outbound Alliance was invited to give a speech. Lucy was also invited to discuss on the cooperation between Shenzhen and Rotterdam with Barbara Kathmann, Vice Mayor of Rotterdam, Michil Bierkens, Consul General of Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Guangzhou, Wilbert Lek, the Managing Director of Rotterdam Partners, Roland Brouwer, Chief Representative, Invest in Holland.

In addition, the letter mentioned that Mr. Wilber Lek, the Managing Director of Rotterdam Partners has been promoted to General Director,. We hereby to congratulate him, also, Lucy Sun retained to be the Executive Chairman of Shenzhen Outbound Alliance. We appreciate the recognition and affirmation from Rotterdam Partners.

Netherlands is one of the most important trade partners and invest targets. China has been the second biggest country in investing in Netherlands. According to the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, by the end of 2018, China's stock of outbound investment was $1982.266 billion, stock of investment in Europe was $112.797 billion, stock of investment in Netherlands was $19.429 billion, up to 17.2%. In 2018, Shenzhen’s outbound investment stock is $145.083 billion, Netherlands was one of the top 5 countries of Shenzhen’s investment in foreign countries. 

SOA will keep serving the members and help more Shenzhen enterprises about investing in Netherlands, and Dutch Enterprises are welcome to Shenzhen for cooperation.
