The Forum on Influence of Trump’s Governance on Patent Tactics of Enterprises, was held successfully by the Alliance and the Representative Office of Alston & Bird LLP in Beijing at Point-Line Space, 6F, Greater China International Financial Center, Futian District on March 10. 

Su Huilun, Partner of Representative Office of Alston & Bird LLP in Beijing, explained the trend and prospect of the US’s intellectual property litigation. She explained through practical cases that how agencies shall deal with these key issues in the courts, state courts, patent trials and appeals committees, etc., reduce losses, and protect their rights and interests when they encounter infringement lawsuits overseas.

Bruce Rose, Partner of Alston & Bird LLP, Ben Pleune, Partner of Intellectual Property Litigation Team, and Chris Douglas, Professional Practitioner of Patent Post-approval Services, jointly presented the major development of the US IP Law in 2016 and the comparison of important data in recent years to get the prospect in 2017; and further described the patent challenge in the US and the difference between it and the Chinese patent invalidation process through several practical cases, which made everyone have a more comprehensive understanding of intellectual property disputes in the US, and further understanding of how to deal with litigations.

Wang Feiya, from Shenzhen ScienBiziP Intellectual Property Agency Co., Ltd., explained how to conduct overseas patent risk control within the enterprise at the end of the Forum so that everyone could know how to make effective risk assessments in advance during the product design and development process or business planning process, to be prepared for smooth overseas sales of products.
