‘Go Global . Touch the World--German Technological Innovation Investment Environment Promotion’ hosted by Shenzhen Outbound Alliance (SOA), organized by Roadlink GLB and supported by Economy, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, was successfully held in the morning of August 29. At the meeting, Director Li Danmei delivered a speech. She expressed her gratitude to the distinguished guests who attended the event and the entrepreneurs who actively participated in the cooperation between Shenzhen and Germany, and said that both of us had a good foundation for the economic trade and cooperation. As of May 2018, Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany, visited China for the 11th times after her re-election. She visited Beijing and Shenzhen this time, and visited two companies in Shenzhen. One was a German company in Shenzhen - Siemens (Shenzhen) Magnetic Resonance Co., Ltd., the other was a local innovative company – iCarbonX. Director Li introduced that in 2017, Shenzhen's import and export volume to Germany was 8.433 billion US dollars, up 7.48%; international well-known German enterprises such as Siemens, Lufthansa and Borgward have invested and developed in Shenzhen; while Chinese companies including Shenzhen Huawei, CIMC, Skyworth and Hytera have carried out investment and cooperation in related fields in Germany, which played an important role in promotion of cooperation as well as economic and social development between the two countries.
