On August 17, 2017, China (Shenzhen) - Thailand (Bangkok) Economic and Trade Promotion Fair was held in Bangkok, Thailand. The Fair was hosted by Economic, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality and National Digital Economy and Society Commission, Thailand, organized by Shenzhen Outbound Alliance and Kasikorn Bank, and supported by Embassy of The People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand.

This Promotion Conference is designated to accelerate promotion of exchange and cooperation between Shenzhen and Thailand in the economic and trade field, and promote cooperation and development of the two in the field of smart field. Present at the meeting were almost 200 persons. There was Head of Embassy of The People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand, Gao Yuyue, Deputy Secretary General of Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, Liu Shizhe, Inspector of Economic, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, Sun Tianlu, Vice Chairwoman and Secretary General of Shenzhen Outbound Alliance, such Shenzhen enterprise representatives going to Thailand for study as Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., ZTE Corporation, BYD Company Limited, Shenzhen Holpe Commercial Chain Stock Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Tencent Computer System Co., Ltd., as well as representatives from National Digital Economy and Society Commission, Thailand, the Thailand Board of Investment, Kasikorn Bank and enterprises in Thailand.

Mr. Pichet Durongkaveroj, Minister of National Digital Economy and Society Commission, Thailand, and Head of Embassy of The People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Thailand made a speech respectively at the exchange meeting. Gao Yuyue, Deputy Secretary General and Mr. Kritawit Madhyamankura from Thailand Board of Investment gave a speech to recommend the latest economy development conditions, investment environments of China and Thailand, as well as their international cooperation visions.

With topic of “Smart City Cooperation”, Dr. Jumpot, Representative of Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. as the guest, shared the concept of smart city and the associated contents of ecological system and safety system. Sun Tianlu, Vice Chairwoman and Secretary General of our Alliance, attended this Panel Discussion. She shared the related experience on cooperation and innovation development of smart city with the guests, introduced how our Alliance helped enterprises “go out” to link resources at home and aboard in response to the national policy of “The Belt and Road”, made a bridge between local enterprises and overseas professional organizations, and built a complete international marketing network to bring more scientific and technological enterprises with innovation capabilities to the overseas markets, and made great efforts to promote economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. Our Alliance and Kasikorn Bank, as well as ShenZhen Holpe Commercial Chain Stock Co., Ltd. and Thai Security Association signed two strategic cooperation agreements at this meeting, respectively. They will give full play to their resource advantages to conduct deep commerce and trade cooperation, and build a wider and higher-level strategic cooperation relation on this basis to realize powerful combination of their brands and resources. Furthermore, they will create more cooperation opportunities for local enterprises. Besides, they hope to capture the opportunities to enhance policy communication and project docking to realize win-win.
